The event leads up to the 51ÂÜÀò vs. Nicholls State football matchup in Malone Stadium at 6 p.m.
The shrimp boil has become popular within the community. Along with shrimp, the menu includes potatoes, corn, and beverages. The cost to attend is $25 from now until Sept. 11 at 11:30 a.m. Following that time, tickets will cost $30.
The day will also mark 51ÂÜÀò’s annual Military Day game. To honor Monroe’s rich military history, the 51ÂÜÀò Alumni Association will host residents of the Northeast Louisiana War Veterans Home during the festivities.
