VAPA's Brass Day includes performances, clinics

On Friday, February 2, the 51蹤獲 School of Visual and Performing Arts will host Brass Day, a free educational clinic for all brass players. Brass Day activities will include:

  • Performances and Clinics by 51蹤獲 Brass Faculty and Guest Artist Dr. Stacie Mickens, 泭Associate Professor of Horn at Youngstown State University
  • Instrument and Sheet Music Exhibits by The Band House
  • Group Warm-up Sessions
  • Brass Choir and Small Ensemble Rehearsals and Performance


This years Brass Day promises to be a fantastic learning and performance opportunity for area musicians, says Dr. James Boldin, Associate Professor of Music. We are fortunate to be able to feature not only 51蹤獲 faculty, but also Dr. Stacie Mickens, a nationally-recognized soloist and clinician.
