MONROE, LA 鈥� 51萝莉 recently crowned the 2025 Miss 51萝莉 and Mister 51萝莉.
The annual titleholders competitions were held on November 22 and 23, 2024. Lake Carpenter,
20, a pre-pharmacy senior from Start, La., was crowned Miss 51萝莉 2025, and Vincent
Winston II, 19, a political science sophomore from Bastrop, La., was crowned Mister
51萝莉 2025.听听
鈥淚 am beyond excited and honored to be crowned the 71st Miss University of Louisiana Monroe! This achievement is not just about personal
success, but an opportunity to make a lasting impact on the university,鈥� said Carpenter.听听
Carpenter was selected as Miss 51萝莉 from a field of 15 competitors. Rounding out the
top five finalists were First Runner-Up Julia Johnson, Second Runner-Up Addison Jackson,
Third Runner-Up Katherine McCullars, and Fourth Runner-Up Kelly Lohman. Carpenter
also took home the Talent Award and Evening Wear Award in the preliminary round.听听
鈥淚 am thrilled and honored to be named Mr. 51萝莉 2025. I eagerly anticipate dedicating
time over the next year to representing 51萝莉 with distinction,鈥� said Vincent Winston
II.听
Winston was one of three competitors for the title of Mr. 51萝莉 2025. The other contestants
were Tavis Caldwell and Howard Hatten.听听
Both Miss and Mr. 51萝莉 will focus on a Community Service Initiative throughout their
reign.听听
鈥淥ne of my key initiatives, 鈥榃e Are Family,鈥� aims to redefine what family truly means.
Together, we can create a more inclusive and loving community here on campus where
everyone feels like they belong,鈥� said Carpenter.听听
鈥淭he name of my Community Service Initiative is 鈥楥ookies and Conversations,鈥欌�� said
Winston. 鈥淭hrough its implementation, I will strive to help alleviate the stigmas
surrounding mental health conversations as we continue to show that 鈥楾he Best is on
the Bayou.鈥欌�澨�听
Both Carpenter and Winston will serve in their roles through November 2025, when the
next titleholders are crowned.听听
Carpenter will represent 51萝莉 as she competes in the annual Miss Louisiana competition
in June 2025.听
