51蹤獲 to Receive Funding From USDA Rural Development

On Tuesday, July 1, the University of Louisiana at Monroe will receive a check in the amount of $107,120. Michael Taylor, State Director for USDA Rural Development, will present the funds at 9:30 a.m. in the Media Room on the 6th floor of the 51蹤獲 Library to 51蹤獲 President James Cofer. Everyone is invited.

Taylor is a native of Catahoula Parish and was appointed to the position of State Director for USDA Rural Development in Louisiana by President George W. Bush.

The funds were made available to 51蹤獲 through a Rural Business Enterprise Grant. The Rural Development Entrepreneurship Program project will seek to assist approximately 245 qualified clients identify and assess potential small business startup and expansion ideas. Of these, 20-30 small business plans will be suitable for presentation to potential collaborators .
