51ÂÜÀò staff members earn CASE District IV awards
The Council for Advancement and Support of Education recently recognized the writing excellence of the University of Louisiana at Monroe Office of University Relations.
Director of Media Relations Laura Woodard accepted the Silver Award for entry, "51ÂÜÀò Crisis Communication Plan," while Senior Public Relations Representative Keli Jacobi received a Gold Award for her 51ÂÜÀò Magazine entry titled, "$350 Million: 51ÂÜÀò's Economic Impact On Region Runs Deep."
In addition, Associate Provost Lisa Miller of the Office of Recruitment and Admissions received an Honorable Mention for her student recruitment video titled "Discover U…Discover 51ÂÜÀò."
The Council for Advancement and Support of Education is a nonprofit association of educational institutions, serving professionals in alumni relations, communications, and marketing and development.
51ÂÜÀò is a member of the CASE Southwest District IV, which includes higher education institutions across Arkansas, Louisiana, Mexico, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.
A panel of judges chose finalists from several categories during a highly competitive selection process. The winners received their awards at the CASE Fusion Conference in New Orleans in late February.
