51蹤獲 Magazine features win big

The fall 2011 edition of the 51蹤獲 Magazine, "Discover 51蹤獲," was recognized for excellence in feature writing.

51蹤獲 graduate student and former 51蹤獲 staff writer Keli Jacobi won multiple awards for her contributions to the publication.

Jacobi, of El Dorado, Ark., was awarded first place in the category of Public Relations, Promotions and Publicity for a "four color" magazine.

The award was presented by the Louisiana Press Women, and was given to Jacobi for her contributions to the magazine, which included "Man on A Mission," a profile of 51蹤獲 President Dr. Nick J. Bruno, and "Walk Down Memory Lane," an introspective piece about 51蹤獲 traditions.

As a first place winner, Jacobi's entry was entered into the National Federation of Press Women Communications Contest.

In the national competition, Jacobi received second place recognition for her efforts.

She will receive her award at the NFPW Annual Communications Conference Sept. 20-22, in Scottsdale, Ariz.
