Services

Using the Library
If you're wondering how you check out books, study room keys, and other Library materials, it's easy: your student ID card is your Library card. So make sure you get one and keep it with you if you intend to use the Library!

Computers
There are two computer labs in the Library - one on the first floor and one on the second floor. The first floor lab tends to be noisier than the second floor lab because of the Provisions on Demand (P.O.D.) and the flow of people in and out of the building, so bear that in mind. Printing is available in both labs and wirelessly through a kiosk on the third floor.

Copy & Fax Machines
There are two photocopiers on the first floor and one on the second floor in Media Services. The cost to make copies is .10 per page. Copy machines accept coins and bills ($1-$5). All change is returned in coins. The library staff can not provide change. There is also a fax machine on the first floor. It can be used to send documents, but it is not recommended for receiving.

Interlibrary Loan
Need access to something that the Library doesn't have? We can borrow it from another library and lend it to you through our Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service. For more on ILL, including how to set up an account, click here.

Reference Library Liaisons
Are you needing assistance using a library database or finding journal articles for your research assignment? Are you starting a project and don't know what keywords you should be using? Your Reference Library Liaison is here to help! You can visit your librarian during their office hours or by calling (318) 342-1071, emailing reference@ulm.edu or using the form!

Resources

In addition to print books, which we still have and are mostly housed on the third and fourth floors, the Library can provide access to a variety of resources.

Library Catalog
You can use the gray Library Catalog search box on our home page to see what books, journals, and other resources we have.

EBSCO Discovery
You can use the blue EBSCO Discovery search box on the home page to search (most of) our electronic resources including the databases, electronic journals, and electronic books. You can also use EBSCO Discovery search boxes found in a !

A-Z Database List
You can also see an A-Z list of databases by viewing  or discover recommended databases for different topics by viewing and selecting a guide that best fits your research. Both of these options are found in the green "See All Resources" box on the library home page.

LibGuides (Library Research Guides)
are subject specific guides meant to help you with your research process. While each guide may be a little different, you can expect to find information about finding resources, using databases, citing sources, and more!

Research Guides & Tutorials
In addition to helping you find a , the Research Guides & Tutorials page also contains several helpful tutorials - such as how to do APA or MLA formatting or how to avoid plagiarism - that you should check out if you are having problems with the research process.
